SofTap® is a hand method of pigmentation that is less invasive than the machine method and 100% sterile and disposable. SofTap® is used in the Mayo and Cleveland Medical Clinics, as well as numerous dermatology and plastic surgery clinics. The SofTap® method is so gentle that you do not have to draw blood, as it allows for placement of the pigment at the surface of the dermal layer. This makes the procedure permanent. The gravity of the color particles then deposits the color lower into the dermis without unnecessarily traumatizing the reticular and papillary layers of the dermis. Too much blood will wash away any color and if blood comes to the surface, so will the macrophages of the immune system which help to engulf any foreign matter that enters the skin.

Barbara is able to design individual hair strokes in the eyebrows, filling in brows lightly or solidly; implant thin fine lines for eyeliner and lash enhancement; implant a smudgy effect for eyeliner; or a thick upper and lower eyeliner; full lip color, lip liner or lip extension; scar camouflage, beauty mark, or nipple areola reconstruction. Colors are custom-blended with three or more colors used in each procedure to look more natural, producing a three dimensional affect.
